Page Turners: One Piece

I am currently reading:
One Piece by Eiichiro Oda
My fiancé found some old paper book tokens (for Ottakers!) and didn't want them so let me have them. So I treated myself to some manga that I keep meaning to read but never feel I can justify because I don't know if I'll like it or not. One Piece is now being published in omnibus form, making it much cheaper than buying single volumes which makes my bank balance very happy, so I treated myself to the first three volumes (and also Full Metalalchemist which is also being published in omnibus form).

I love it. I knew I would because I liked the anime but I wasn't sure if the humour and action would be as good in manga form. It is. It's fantastic and I feel stupid for doubting it for even a second. It's hilarious! HILARIOUS! But also very touching at times.

Read it.

From Amazon:
High jinx on the high seas! As a child, Monkey D. Luffy dreamed of becoming the King of the Pirates. But his life changed when he accidentally gained the power to stretch like rubber...at the cost of never being able to swim again! Now Luffy, with the help of a motley collection of pirate wannabes, is setting off in search of the 'One Piece,' said to be the greatest treasure in the world! With all the Officer Agents defeated, only Crocodile and his final plan to destroy the palace stands in the way of peace. While Luffy battles it out with the evil Croc in the royal tombs, Vivi and the rest of the Straw Hats have to find the bomb before it blows up the capital - with everyone in it!
